Senior citizens can avail UP govt’s monthly pension scheme
Do you know that the Uttar Pradesh government provides a monthly pension of Rs 1,000 to senior citizens under the Vradhawatha Pension Yojana?
The pension is given to senior citizens who fall in the economically weaker category or are below the poverty line. It is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
The following are the key features of the monthly pension scheme:
Eligibility
- Applicants should be between 60 to 150 years.
- Annual income of applicants living in rural areas should be less than Rs 46,080
- Annual income of applicants living in urban areas should be upto Rs 56,460.
- Applicants should not be a beneficiary of any other pension scheme
Documents
Applicants are required to provide the following documents:
- Photograph
- Income Certificate
- Age Certificate
Online Application Form
The online application form can be accessed from the website of the UP Government.
Applicants should select the district and tehsil and enter necessarfy personal details. They should also provide details of the bank account where the pension is to be transferred. After that, they need to upload the required documents.
